Last night's progress.

My new plan is to take a picture of my progress at the end of each night, and then update every morning, because most nights I'm too tired to upload pictures. Switched to the yellow in the background, I'm working away on the upper left corner... no real reason, it's just holding my attention for now.

The story of my purse, and today's sweet Winner's find!

Well my mom and I were out on our usual Tuesday shopping trip one day, and I picked up this BCBGmaxazria purse that I had seen before at Winners. It had been about $150. Well I looked at the tag and it had been marked down to *$40*! Well you can bet I grabbed it up, I couldn't believe right up until I was paying for it that it had been marked down so much, all for a little scuff on the handle! This is a $500 handbag! This was nearly a year ago and I'm still using it. It honestly is the only purse I've ever had that I've loved so much I never had a want to switch to a different one.

The second picture is today's Winners find, an Ed Hardy card wallet. I'm not sure if it is real ostrich leather because of the price but according to the labels it is real leather. It's a wonderful light brown that sets off the neon tattoo design, and the card slots and button tab are a yummy bronzy snake print. I'm in love!

My sewing box!

So this is my really nice new sewing box I just got, I found it at value village for only $5! And it's in like new condition. It's perfect for holding everything I need for my current project in my little stitching corner. You can see it open below, though you can't see whats in the top compartment I have pins and ribbon in one side and I use the other side for thread scraps. I love it! I use the top left compartment to hold the thread colors I'm currently using. Helps keep me from getting mixed up!

Today's quick update.

Here's today's project update picture. Had a fair amount of stitching time so I got a lot done. I want to get the background out of the way, it's all large blocks of one color so it goes quickly, and then I can focus totally on the woman. This is just where I took a break today to post, I may have a bit more to do before I go to bed.

Progress on Woodland Enchantress

Here's two pictures from today, I had tons of time to stitch. The second one is when I thought I was done for the night, the first one is when I did a bit more and then decided I was REALLY done for the night... maybe.

Woodland Enchantress first post

So I started working on my "Woodland Enchantress" design by Dimensions. Before I started I searched online for people's progress pictures, but only found one blog with worthwhile pictures, http://www.beccasxstitch.com/. Her in-progress pictures and posts, and final review inspired me to give the kit a try, so I'm gonna start working on it and document the process. This first picture is actually from a couple of weeks ago, I just barely started then had to put it down due to work giving me next to no stitching time. Oh well, each stitch completed is one closer to the final result!
